The Striper Sniper® 7” Ultralight Rig Frame is ideal for kayakers and light tackle use. Our Ultralight Rig Frame features a 7” heavy-duty, 4-arm stainless steel frame that weighs 1/2 ounce. All Ultralight Rig Frames come equipped with a 100 lb. stainless steel Coastlock swivel to ensure flawless performance when hooking that fish of a lifetime. I really like to troll these rigs while fishing for hybrids. They are strong enough to hold a big striper, but light enough for those sometimes skittish hybrids.

I've pulled mini rigs for years. I love them. Huge rigs catch fish, but who wants to fight that weight along with the fish? I don't. I want to feel the fish! This is the perfect rig for that. Great price and easy to pull!

QUALITY PRODUCT

I've used many U-rigs/Alabama rigs and I LOVE this one! They are affordable and TOUGH, they don't flex and fold in on themselves like some others do. Much more affordable then others on the market that are of lesser quality. The weight is nice and light which was perfect for what we were doing and the coastlock swivel is not a cheapo one that will break easily. Great product all around, we have caught a lot of big fish on this rig, sometimes multiple fish on one rig and it didn't damage it at all. I bought 3 more a month ago and unfortunately my stupid self left one too close to the edge, and it fell off when it was choppy. Other than that we have not lost one or thrown one out due to defect or damage.

Lightweight but sturdy. I caught a 33” and 22” striper at the same time and the Ultralight Rig held up great! I run five sassy shads with matching jigheads. You can troll them with a downrigger, lead core or flat line at a wide range of speeds.

Solid Frame

4/29/2020 – How deep does the Ultralight Rig run or can you provide a depth chart?

Response From Striper Sniper Lure Company: If you're running straight mono or braid, the Ultralight Rig will be hard to judge the depth without some trial and error. This of course will depend on several factors such as boat speed, how much line is out, weight of line, etc. In lieu of guesswork, I highly recommend this trolling app that has our Ultralight Rig as one of the featured lures. It is very simple to use. You just enter your lure, line, speed, and target depth and it will calculate the amount of line you need to let out.
